American (English) remake of the French series HPI (2021)
Tale
It follows Morgan, a single mother of three, and how thanks to her exceptional mind, she is able to help solve crimes while rearranging evidence during her shift as a cleaner at the police station.. Despite its very high IQ, an excellent memory, and an extensive knowledge of arcane matters, Morgan makes a series of basic legal mistakes that anyone who has ever watched a television legal show would know not to do.
In the first episode, for example, she obtains a document from a locked safe at the suspect-victim’s law office that would never be admissible in court – illegally obtained evidence
It also could not be used to obtain other evidence–violating the legal doctrine of "fruit of the poisonous tree" In episode 2 she has to be reminded to wear gloves before handling evidence at a crime scene, and in #3 she removes all the documented evidence from the police station, completely breaking the chain of custody and making whatever she removed no longer exists admissible in court.. Remake HPI (2021).
The original French version, Haut Potential Intellectuel, was much smarter
The first episode was pretty much the same as this first episode except they left out the first part where it was established that she lacks patience with the people she talks to. That was at the job she had besides working as a cleaner at the police department.
He gets fired from that job for disrespecting customers
After that missing scene, the rest of the first episode was pretty much the same. The biggest difference is the main character, Morgan, who is far wackier than the one depicted in the American version.
This could be fun because I like Kaitlin Olsen
After watching the original version, it’s extremely hard not to compare. I hope the character she had in The Mick, irreverent and funny, shows up in future episodes.
