While exploring the depths of an abandoned space station, a group of young space colonists come face to face with the most terrifying life form in space. 'Alien: Romulus' Stars Cailee Spaeny and Isabela Merced reveal why director Fede Alvarez used practical effects and animatronic xenomorphs to terrorize his cast. Physical scenery, practical creatures and miniatures were used wherever possible to aid later VFX work. When Rain shuts down the ship’s gravity and shoots all the aliens, all their blood floats in the air in long, smeared patterns.
The logo itself suffers a burst of static and turns green
. Zero gravity in real life causes liquids to form into spheres instead of breaking up into long, flat pieces like in the movie. Andy: The solution for a claustrophobic astronaut is to give him more space. The 20th Century Studios fanfare freezes and turns ominous as in Alien 3 (1992), leading into the film’s opening scene.

Featured in Nerdrotic: The Acolyte: Force is Female CONFIRMED? Death of Cinema – Real BBC @MauLer @HeelvsBabyface (2024). Nothing special, most of the really positive reviews are exaggerated. The characters are mostly completely limp and devoid of any real character apart from Andy.

Honestly, I wasn’t emotionally attached to most of the characters and most of them were just boring and fat. The film was cheesy at times, seemed to take a while to get going, and relied heavily on the Alien franchise. The special effects were pretty good and the original xenomorph design was great, although for some reason the face huggers look worse in this movie than in Alien and Aliens. I’m not too excited about the current hype surrounding Romulus, it’s not a terrible movie, but it’s not great either.

As a huge fan of the original, I was left disappointed. The film “What we do in the shadows” is one of the biggest TV and streaming premieres this month.
