Prior to being bit he was wearing no shoes
Tale
Residents of a rundown French apartment building battle against an army of deadly, rapidly reproducing spiders.. The visually striking buildings where the action is set have not been created for the movie; these are the Picasso arenas in Noisy-le-Grand, near Paris, designed by architect Manuel Núñez Yanowsky in the 80s.. When TN is feeling the effects of the spider bite, he is seen wearing one of the new shoes.

He would not have put on the right shoe after being attacked/poisoned.. This is what a horror movie about spiders should be like. For the first hour or so everything works, it feels well put together, and the soundtrack only compliments this.
It feels isolated, dark, grim, and poverty stricken
The spiders are well done, and there is some genuinely frightening jump scares. Its entire production takes place in an apartment block in Paris. At times, it felt like the same isolation one would get watching the first Alien movie.
Sometimes less is more in this context
However, whilst the movie is well made, the third act is difficult to take seriously. People in an apartment block fighting for their very lives was interesting, until it became silly and cartoonist. That being said, the first hour is the best bit of horror you’re likely to see this year.
